The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting purchased and manufactured components to ensure they meet company specifications and quality requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality by performing inspections, identifying defects, utilizing precision measuring equipment, and supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process.
Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of products and materials to verify compliance with specifications and tolerances.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including: Micrometers, Calipers, Height gauges, thread gauges, and gauge pins.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and inspection plans.
- Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming products and materials.
- Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Recommend process improvements and corrective actions to enhance product quality.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and inspection documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to balance quality standards while maintaining productivity.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
