The Director of Marketing for the Edelbrock Group will be responsible for driving the Marketing agenda for our portfolio of industry leading automotive aftermarket brands. The individual will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and work in close partnership with the executive leadership team. The Director owns all direct and indirect touchpoints with Edelbrock Group customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the Marketing organization that includes: creative/graphic design, sales material production (catalogs, brochures, flyer, etc.) videography, social media, email marketing, event planning, merchandise/promotional creation and contingency
  • Work and communicate directly with E-Commerce to align and integrate strategies across all Marketing platforms
  • Leverage the various data sets (POS data, Market Research, Operational/KPI data) to determine growth and leverage areas on the business and where/how to direct the marketing funds
  • Partner with Sales, Product Development, Product Management, Operations and E-Commerce leaders to implement business-driving marketing initiatives
  • Direct market research and data analysis to identify:
    • Market segmentation
    • Core consumer target(s)
    • Brand positioning
    • Ideal customer experience
    • Leverage-able consumer and business insights
  • Manage a roster of Mar-Tech vendors and agencies (traditional creative, digital, CRM, media buying, etc.)
  • Be a driver of business (P&L) results

Experience Base:

  • Strong hands-on manager and developer of talent
  • Demonstrated data analytics skill and industry/customer knowledge
  • Track record of managing traditional brand marketing duties, events and D2C digital campaigns  
  • Extensive creative development background
  • Practiced in various Market Research techniques, including segmentation, targeting, positioning and usage tracking
  • Experienced in managing marketing budgets, agencies, internal teams and outputs across traditional branding, digital outlets, and event arenas
  • Understanding of both B2B and D2C sales channels as they relate to the automotive aftermarket

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 10+ Years job experience related to Marketing and/or Sales
  • 5+ Years managerial/director level experience
  • This leadership role will be based from our Olive Branch headquarters

Strongly Preferred:

  • Automotive aftermarket experience and/or passion
