CNC Set-Up Operator

2nd Shift hours: 3:15p-1:45a, Monday-Thursday

About the Position:

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Setup Operator to join our 2nd shift team. Duties and responsibilities are listed below:

• Applies proper tooling and control settings
• Load/unload tools, change out fixtures
• Makes modifications to machine offsets as needed, to ensure the machined parts are within blueprint tolerances
• Selects and installs tooling in tool posts, turrets or indexing heads, and automatic tool change magazine, in sequence specified on process sheet or program

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must meet various requirements, ex: Lifting requirements (50 pounds)
• Mechanically Inclined – for set-ups and repairing machines:
• Mechanical Ability for various types of parts: Assembly/Disassembly experience, ability to problem-solve and repair minor issues
• Able to use measuring instruments: Calipers, Height gages, Micrometers, and other tools, in addition to being able to read prints/drawings
• Effectively, proficiently, and on a timely basis, set-up machines as needed
• Take initiative to create procedures as needed (with approval from management)
• Have an overall knowledge and understanding of machines.
