Role & Responsibilities:
- Using PC-DMIS, Microsoft Excel, and Visual Basic, develop new and update current CMM programs for 1st article, in-process, and stock checks of on-site machined automotive parts
- Daily inspection of on-site machined automotive parts. Must be able to do complete inspections and clearly review those results with setup and engineering personnel.
- Work quickly in a fast-paced production environment providing accurate inspections.
- Verify inspection results using alternative inspection procedures as necessary.
- Create and make changes to existing reports for up-to-date customer documentation.
- Assist in the development of new inspection routines and required fixtures from either cad model or blueprint.
- Follow all production documentation (ie. CMM programs, inspection reports, and blueprints) and advise on any changes.
2nd Shift- 3:15p-1:45a- Monday-Thursday
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2 years CMM PC-DMIS operation and Machine Parts Inspector.
- Knowledge of CMM PC-DMIS operation. Machine parts and surface plate inspection required. Blueprint reading, interpretation and GD&T skills. Accurate use of thread gages, calipers, bore gages, templates and other hand tool mandatory. Computer literate in Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic and SPC a plus. ISO-9000 procedure knowledge is helpful.
